Class of 2023

AIS celebrated the graduating class of 2023. Some of the students in this cohort have been at AIS since the very beginning. 10 years later, they are ready to explore new opportunities and use their learning for the future. We are sure they are equipped to face any challenges that may come their way.

Srijan, the class representative had a few words to share:

Being a student at AIS for a decade has cultivated my values, nurtured my strengths, and built my character. I have built such a strong relationship with all the students and the teachers, and that will be missed in my future endeavors. The ethos of the school and the togetherness of the class have become a huge part of my life, and I hope to remain a part of this wonderful school community. Thank you, AIS for a wonderful decade and I will never forget the memories I made here.

Congratulations!

PYP Exhibition

We are now finished with the Exhibition for 2023. It’s been quite the journey. The students chose topics that they were genuinely interested in which was very noticeable on the day. It was also obvious that students had ownership and control over their content which showed a high level of self management. A big thank you to the teachers, Mr. Tom, Mr. Duncan, Miss Alian, Miss Helene and Miss Angie for their ongoing effort to facilitate the exhibition. It is a mammoth effort but it was great to see the students share their passion with so much confidence and enthusiasm. A great effort.

Now our oldest PYP students are finalizing their last weeks before heading onto the MYP!

Language Competition

Huge congratulations to Daniel and Niharika who competed on behalf of the school in the International Language Competition Norway finals in Kristiansand yesterday! They had 25 challenging grammar and culture questions to answer and came in third place out of all schools in Norway! Well done!

Niharika mentioned that 'It was a challenging competition but I enjoyed it very much'.

As part of our sport’s leadership program Grade 5 students have created activities that younger students can play at break time. This is a great way for students to mix with students that they don’t normally play with while learning new games to be active outside.

PYP Student-Led conferences

This week we held the Student-Led conferences at the PYP. It is so rewarding to watch students demonstrate agency by enjoying the learning with their parents. All of the activities really captured the excitement and importance of the learning that is carried out while we really saw students be confident and aware of what to do.
