The calendar for 2017/2018 is now available on our web page. We have also posted it below and on our facebook page for your convenience.
The most important thing to observe now is the holiday dates. We ask parents to carefully plan around these times.
We also ask people to appreciate some event dates might change as we get closer to the next school year. It is difficult to factor everything in this far ahead in time.
Cold weather ahead - so please make sure you pack the proper clothes (gloves, hats, winter suits, winter tights and so on) for your kids.
This week is academic integrity week at Asker International School. During this week, the teachers will cover topics such as:
- Copyright
- Visual, recordings, YouTube, music, movies
- How to reference (Harvard) books and newspapers
- Direct and indirect quotes
- Authentic referencing
- How to reference (Harvard) Internet Articles
- How to paraphrase
- Plagiarism
The principal will also hold a session for parents on Friday morning from 09:00, 6th January.
This is an important and transferable skill that is relevant in all tiers of education. We hope all benefit from this week of learning.
