Questions about preschool facilities

We currently do not have a preschool at Asker International School. There is a Montessori in Sandvika that has information for your perusal here. 

Does Asker International School (AIS) have a kindergarten?

AIS does not have its own kindergarten. 

It may be a bit of a stretch to say we were represented in the Oslo international marathon, but it was at least good to see one of our young students participating in this national event. 

Every year there is an opportunity for young children to participate in a short leg, for example 500m. Its a great activity to reinforce a healthy lifestyle, so congratulations to those who participated.

The students are all very engaged in the house system and in the awarding of house points. So far we have had two house activities. The first was the Kandinsky project which is on display for parents to see on our international day. 

The second activity was a general knowledge quiz, where representatives from each house had to answer a series of general knowledge questions. It was very close in the end but Heimdal was triumphant. 

The current house point standings are: 

Heimdal - 202 Points
Tyr - 173 Points
Buri - 175 Points
Skadi - 200 Points

It is still very close and if last year is any indication it will remain a close race throughout the year. 

Congratulations to all the boys and girls for their commitment to receiving house points. Together, and not including silver certificates or other classroom initiatives, there has been around 700 reasons to award a point to a student for doing something positive 

Saturday cinema was a nice event and our first weekend event this year. For our next Saturday outing we will probably split up the groups as there was quite the age spread. For once, rainy weather would have been good on the day but it was an enjoyable affair nonetheless. 

Thank you also to all who helped in the clean-up. There were so many helping it only took 5-10 minutes. Great stuff!
