December concert a great success

What a wonderful evening it was, I think all would agree.

It was a fantastic event, thanks to the efforts of all the children. They waited and worked patiently for 3 hours and then went on stage and did a great job. This was largely due to the positivity and support of the teachers, with a special mention necessary for Miss. Kirsti.

Miss Kirsti put a lot of time and effort into making this event happy and it was very nice to see it come together for her in the end. Well done!

The parents also went an extra mile and did a great job organising the raffle, cake sale and more after the concert. Everyone had a good time

Congratulations to grade 5

congrats

Grade 5 achieved the highest result in English in Asker and Bærum, according to the results published and commented on by Budstikka and Nettavisen recently. Both articles are hyper-linked below.

Congratulations to the boys and girls. We informed them yesterday. Overall (including Maths and Norwegian) they came 111th out of 2000-plus schools that completed the tests.

The national tests are an annual bench-marking test to assess the level of ability in English, Norwegian and Mathematics in primary schools. The test is completed in grades 4,8 and 9.

If you see the boys and girls from grade 5, please congratulate them.

There is a map at the bottom of the Budstikka article where you can click on a school to see it's results.

Winter clothes for kids

winter

The winter weather is finally here!

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for school.
There were a lot of wet children today enjoy nothing more rolling on ice
and running in the snow.
This means they need weatherproofs and lined-boots for school.

They will be outside enjoying a Norwegian winter, so please wrap them up
properly so they can enjoy their day!

Grade 6 Assembly - Haiku and high kicks

A big thanks to Grade 6 for providing one of our final grade assemblies this year.

Grade 6

We were all very impressed to hear second and third language students stand-up and present a Haiku that they had written themselves. Not only is the poetry a challenge, but so is presenting to your school.

We also had some movement composition and dance presented to the school in addition to some very well presented slideshows.

Thank you for your efforts grade 6 and Mr. Andrew!
