Time for another Saturday cinema!

movienight

7th February Doors open 11:00. Running until approximately until 14:00

This time we are very lucky because not only will we have some films to watch, but grade 4 will also be present on the day with Mr. Jonathan. They are raising money for a charity called Live Village, more details of which Mr. Jonathan will post on his blog.

There will be some food prepared and some activities for the younger kids. We hope to see many of you in attendance on this day.

Parents are expected to accompany their child and although this is a social and fun event we would be grateful if you could help us enforce basic school rules for safety, such as walking properly inside and respecting school furniture and equipment.

strike queueProposed strike for buses and trains

According to a recent article in Budstikka which can be viewed here, it seems bus and train services will stop on Wednesday from 14:00-16:00. More information is also available on VG.

Please ensure appropriate collection arrangements are arranged to accommodate this development.

Normal provision of after-school services will continue. We simply ask that parents ensure suitable transport arrangements are made on the day.

A rubbish assembly

Pun intended! Miss Debra and her grade 2 class gave a wonderful presentation on supply and demand today, presenting their lines of inquiry to the school and explaining, through song, the impact of when supply increases or falls. Very impressive for grade 2 kids. Good job! Please go to their blog to read more about it.

In relation to economy and consumption Miss Debra also pulled in the area of environment and waste. She showed the students some powerful videos, which I encourage everyone to watch and consider. It certainly made me think of my lifestyle and how I view recycling.  We didn't have time to watch the video in it's entirety, but I encourage families to do so when they get a chance.
