Welcome 2024! We extend a warm welcome to each member of our incredible school community. Together, we stand at the threshold of new opportunities, growth, and achievements. The dedication and hard work demonstrated by each one of you in the past months have laid a solid foundation for success.

The MYP celebrated "MOT til å glede dagen" with music, waffles and a spontaneous lunch-time conga line. Thank you very much to Miss Mya for making the waffles, the pastoral leaders for distributing them to each MYP class and to Mr Simon for organising the whole thing.

We are gearing up for the winter performances in the upcoming days. Our students are working hard on being stage-ready for their grade performances. Lots to look forward to!

Please remember to send your children well dressed for the colder days we've been experiencing. 

AIS participated in the regional round of the First Lego League, junior and senior. Grade 4 were there in full voice (LEGO League Explore Challenge) and our senior team, coached by some parents, participated for the first time. The senior team said the presence of grade 4 cheering them on made a big difference.

The senior team came first in the innovation section, but also were chosen as the overall winners! 

They now go to Mo i Rana in December to represent AIS against 35 other teams from Sweden, Norway and Iceland. 

A wonderful achievement so far. A steep hill to climb, but they now give themselves the opportunity to go to the finals in Houston. 

At AIS we strive to nurture our students by providing a dynamic learning environment where children enthusiastically explore the realms of coding and technology, fostering essential skills for the digital age.

The school came alive with vibrant flags, colorful displays, and cultural performances as students and staff celebrated UN Day, fostering a spirit of unity and global awareness.

This is an important day on the school calendar and it involves assemblies and specific activities for each grade. The theme this year is Going for Green! and it is connected to our continued association with the Green Flag Project.
