First Week of School a Success
First week of school is over. It was great to see all the new grade 1 children here. We were impressed with how quickly they have settled into their new school environment. We now have close to 170 students in Asker International School, a new entrance and soon access to a new gym facility (hopefully!).
We were also very fortunate to have great weather on the first 5 days, but it seems rain is coming and we ask parents to make sure their children have the right equipment. Rain-gear and boots, not umbrellas! Umbrellas are not a safe item for a playground. We are in Norway and what constitutes bad weather here is not necessarily the same as other countries!
We have our parent information meeting this week and we hope most parents can make it.
We continue to face challenges with traffic flow outside the building and we rely on the continued support of parents in making this area safe. Please ensure you use the car park in the morning whether it is a quick drop-off or walking the children into school. If cars stop on the road they block the delivery of children by bus.
We wish all a great week ahead!
