AIS Celebrates Chinese New Year
AIS celebrated the Chinese New Year with students, staff, parents, and distinguished guests yesterday.
We were honoured to have Zhou Ningyu, Chargé d’Affaires from the Chinese Embassy, Qiao Dan, Second Secretary, and Elisabeth Holter-Schøyen, Leader of the Committee for Childhood and Education in Asker, join us, together with our Grade 7 parents.
We sincerely thank the Chinese Embassy and Asker Kommune for their continued support of Mandarin learning at AIS.
The celebration included guest remarks and student performances, with valuable contributions from MYP students in organising and delivering the event. Following the assembly, PYP students participated in six cultural stations featuring traditional games, storytelling, crafts, and calligraphy. The celebration concluded with students enjoying a tasting of Chinese snacks and authentic Chinese dishes.
The event highlighted AIS’s commitment to cultural understanding and international-mindedness within our learning community.
